The nutrient rich waters around Mull are naturally warmed by the Gulf Stream and support an array of marine life. The summer months bring minke whales and basking sharks to their regular feeding grounds. Smaller cetaceans such as common and bottlenose dolphins as well as harbour porpoise are also plentiful.
